The Global Education and Peace Network began city-led study circles in October 2001, after the September 11 tragedy. With a goal of building global awareness in Springfield and Clark County, in the past 14 years, the group has created more than 48,000 Global Education calendars and held monthly programs educating about local and global cultures. The Center for Civic and Urban Engagement at Wittenberg is pleased to have worked with the Global Education and Peace Network in the education, entertainment and enlightenment of Springfield residents.
